Bouncing baby boy
Carver County News - September 29, 1893

"August Verck (sp) was setting em up for the boys last Monday and on inquiry we found that a bouncing boy had made its appearance at his house."


This is the first article that mentions August Verch and his family.

August Herman Verch was born in Germany in 1869, he would marry Wilhelmina Hoeft in Pommerania, Germany. She was born June 17, 1860 in Grosz Silben, Pommerania, Germany. Together they would have 14 children:

NOTE: The "bouncing baby boy" mentioned in this newspaper article was Herman Verch although they do not name him directly. He was born September 24, 1893 and this article was printed 5 days later.

* Both Frieda Verch and Hattie Verch are the neices of August Herman Verch. Both of their parents died before they were teenagers.
