Wedding Bells
"Martin Koehnen, son of Hon. John Koehnen and wife of Laketown, and Miss Hattie Verch, were quietly married at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Waconia, Thuesday, November 4th, at 9 o'clock A.M., the Rev. John Stelmes, officiating. The wedding was a quiet family affair and there was no reception. The groom is a sturdy young farmer of Laketown, popular amoung a host of associates, while his fair bride is said to be a charming and accomplished young lady. For the present they will make their home with the groom's parents in Laketown and the Herald wishes them abundant future happiness and success."
NOTE: - Hattie Verch is also mentioned in the wedding notice of August Verch, her older brother. - Grand Bill Wollin would often speak of a Hattie. You could tell by the way he spoke of her that he really liked and missed her a lot. |
