Lena W. Kuehl, 96 of Young America, died Sept. 26 at Gaylord Hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1885 in Camden Township, Carver county, the daugher of the late August and Wilhelmine Gruenert Wollin. She was baptized Feb. 15, 1885 and confirmed April 8, 1900 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Young America.

On April 2, 1903 she was united in marriage to Albert Exstedt. He died May 17, 1946. She was united in marriage to William Kuehl July 19, 1951. He preceded her in death April 6, 1962.

Mrs. Kuehl is survived by daughters and son-in-law Mrs. Wilhelmine Lenzen, Norwood and LuVerne and Ben Goetsch, Gaylord, sons and daughters-in-law Everett and Alice Exstedt, Young America and Ewald and Lydia Exstedt, Arlington. Also 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Mabel, son Hilton, two grandsons and one son-in-law.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 1:30 p.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church, Young America. pastor Henry J. Fry officiating.

Chapel services were held Monday evening at paul funeral Home, Norwood. Internment was at St. John's Church Cemetery. Casketbearers were Duane, Darwin and Jerome Geotsch, Harlan Lewis, Mark and Dennis Exstedt.
