Alta Mae Daniels is the oldest child of John Martin Daniels and Chaterine Elizabeth Johnson. She was born April 17, 1879 in Mount Sterling, Illinios.

On August 5, 1896 she married William Riely Hoskins. Together they would have 11 children: Clarence Sylvester, Lila Leone, Annie LaRie, John Laurence, Laurel Brooks, Harley George, Lenora Mae Dean, Irma Avril, Ione Loretta, Cleta Juanita, and Charlotte Viola.
William Riley passed away April 2, 1942 in Hillman, Minnesota. Alta Mae passed away April 21, 1965 in Onamia, Minnesota.
